What do you love most about your job?

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is exceeding a funeral home owner’s expectations and proving to them just how successful their preneed program really can be once our proven systems and procedures are put in place.

Also, I take pride in seeing the development and success of a new counselor in a client funeral home as they work together to exceed the goals that they both have set forth. It is very gratifying to succeed in your expectations and to witness success and satisfaction with the PFP/client/counselor relationship.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

The best advice I think I have ever received in my work career and life in general is to work hard and give the same effort every day to the things and people you love and you will be rewarded with success and accomplishments that you never thought could be achieved. Rewards, accomplishments and satisfaction in work and in life will come if the effort is put forth and if one has patience and believes in what they are doing. Never settle for just “good enough” and never stop trying.

What do you like to do when you are not working?

Work consumes a good part of my life but when it’s time to relax and get away from the work week I have always enjoyed being an avid fisherman, hunter and sportsman in the great state of Louisiana which has been deemed as “The Sportsman’s Paradise” as seen on Louisiana’s auto license plates. Aside from hunting and fishing I also enjoy yard work and relaxing on the front porch with a glass of wine and light rock oldies to admire the manicured yardwork done and visit with neighbors and friends passing by. I also take pride and enjoyment from waxing and detailing and minor maintenance work on my automobiles as I love vintage cars and cars in general. I also unwind by taking scenic motorcycle cruises with friends on the winding country roads thru the dairy farms north of where I live on lazy warm Sunday afternoons.

If you could have one superpower what would it be?

If there was such a thing as a superpower it would probably have to be the ability to predict the outcome of a newly acquired funeral home account and or preneed counselor hire and how they will turn out verses my expectations and goals that I set for them in their marketplace.
